Yiqi Zhao is a London-based illustrator and visual artist with a background in graphic design and children’s literature. Her practice explores the symbolic and psychological dimensions of migration, gender, and domesticity, using minimal line-based drawing and narrative sequencing. Her work has been exhibited in contemporary art spaces in London and New York, including The 34 Gallery and Bushwick Gallery. Zhao’s recent visual research focuses on the concept of “boundary experience” and will be presented in the upcoming 2025 exhibition, Roots of Roots, at Filet Space.
